The Division of Endocrinology and Diabetes is the only diabetes education program in Missouri accredited by the American Diabetes Association (ADA). We offer the following classes: Diabetes 101 and Survival Skills.

Diabetes 101 is for direct caregivers and patients with diabetes and is generally scheduled soon after a new diabetes diagnosis. Diabetes 101 focuses on self-management and dives deeper into education topics covered during initial education by our diabetes educators.

Survival Skills classes are designed for school nurses, caregivers, babysitters, grandparents, foster and adoptive families, older siblings and children who were diagnosed at a young age and beginning to manage more of their own diabetes care and focus on basics and hands-on diabetes management skills.
