Patient Care

We do what is right for kids.

We have a multidisciplinary team of health care professionals to provide comprehensive care for children and teenagers with endocrine disorders or diabetes from the geographic area covered by BJC Healthcare System and Washington University Medical Center. Our team includes board certified endocrinologists, nurse practitioners, registered dietitians, social workers, psychologists and community health workers.

We use state-of-the-art and innovative treatments for children with common and rare disorders.

Our pediatric DM and endocrinology program is nationally ranked by U.S. News and World Report.

Teaching

We are committed to educating the next generation of highly skilled pediatric endocrinologists and diabetologists.

We offer a three-year pediatric endocrinology and DM fellowship program that is ACGME accredited and provides extensive clinical and research training.

We provide a core education in pediatric endocrinology, metabolism and diabetes for pediatric residents and medical students. Our faculty has received recognition for their teaching efforts.

Research

Since 1922, our team has been on the cutting edge of diabetes and endocrinology research.

We maintain a rich environment conducive to performance of both basic science and patient-oriented research.

Our faculty participates in nationally-recognized clinical trials and new and innovative research. Please reach out to us if interested in participating in clinical studies.

Community outreach and advocacy

Our culturally competent team is devoted to advocate, educate and raise awareness for our patients and communities to promote physical, financial and emotional well-being.

Giving

It is thanks to the generous support of our institution, funding agencies and philanthropic support of our donors and patients that we are able to better care for our patients and community and continue the vital pursuit of discovery.
