Stephen Stone, MD, received the Faculty Recruitment / Scholar Award from the Children’s Discovery Institute at Washington University School of Medicine. His project is titled “Establishing a Translational Diabetes Lab at Washington University.”

Katie Burgener, MD (PG5 Fellow) received the Endocrine Society Fellows Travel Award to attend the Endocrine Society’s Annual Meeting and Type 1 Diabetes Fellows Series in Atlanta.
Sam Cortez, MD, (PG5 Fellow) will present his abstract “Monoclonal Cortisol Immunoassay Cut Off Point to Diagnose Adrenal Insufficiency (AI)” at the Pediatric Endocrine Society national meeting. It has been designated a Pediatric Endocrine Society Presidential Abstract; one of the top-ranking abstracts submitted by a trainee.
Michael Thompson received the 2021 AASLD Gupta Family Pilot Research Award in Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis Research for his project “Role of Microbiome in Development of Offspring Cholestatic Liver Disease after Maternal Obesogenic Diet Exposure.”
